Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute was founded on July 16, 1937, by the order of the People's Commissariat of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 155. Over the years, the institute has become a center not only for pharmaceutical education but also for scientific research.

Tax Academy - Tashkent

By the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 10, 2001, No. 16 "On the establishment of the Academy of Tax and Customs Authorities," the militarized Academy of Tax and Customs Authorities was created. The training centers of the State Tax and Customs Committees were abolished, and the system of professional development was transferred to the Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining.

The main goal of establishing the Academy, in line with the requirements of the "National Program for Personnel Training," was to ensure the continuity and succession of training qualified tax and customs specialists. The Tax Academy of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a higher educational institution where specialists in tax authorities are trained and improve their qualifications in the field of "Taxes and Taxation."

The Higher Military Customs Institute - Tashkent

The Higher Military Customs Institute was established on May 22, 2003, with the aim of training and improving the qualifications of personnel for the state customs authorities.

Admission to the Higher Military Customs Institute is open to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who have an education no lower than complete secondary or secondary vocational education, are of pre-draft age or have served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aged from 17 to 23 years, with a height of at least 170 cm for males (and at least 165 cm for females), and have expressed a desire to study at the institute.

The selection of applicants is carried out by the territorial customs authorities based on the "Regulations on the Selection and Admission of Applicants to the Higher Military Customs Institute of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

An individual wishing to study full-time at the Higher Military Customs Institute (HMCI) should submit an application to the territorial customs authorities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, Tashkent city, and the "Tashkent-Aero" customs post. Admission of candidates for full-time study at the HMCI of the Republic of Uzbekistan is carried out within the established deadlines, based on the results of the military-medical commission and corresponding personnel checks at the local level.

The entrance exams for the Higher Military Customs Institute are conducted in two stages:

Stage 1: Physical training and psychological evaluation.


Stage 2: According to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan №Р-2193 dated April 19, 2005, "On Additional Measures to Improve the Military Education System in the Republic of Uzbekistan," admission to the institute is carried out on a competitive basis through testing by the State Testing Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Applicants take exams in the language (Uzbek or Russian) in which they were educated at the previous institution. Test question variants in the Uzbek language can be presented in either Cyrillic or Latin script.

For questions related to the document submission process for admission to the HMCI of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, candidates should contact the personnel departments of the State Customs Committee at their place of residence.

Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Tashkent

The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established in accordance with Resolution No. 447 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 2, 1994, and Order No. 264 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 20, 1994. It is part of the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Academy is a state higher specialized educational institution that carries out educational activities for the implementation of core and additional professional educational programs of higher education, as well as methodological, scientific, and other activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.


The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan is one of the largest higher education institutions for training law enforcement personnel in Central Asia.


The entrance exam is conducted in a test format by the State Testing Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 10, covering the following subjects:

  • History
  • Native language and literature
  • Foreign language

Prior to the main test exams administered by the State Testing Center, candidates must pass physical fitness entrance tests, which consist of meeting specific physical performance standards:

For male applicants:

  • 100-meter and 3,000-meter runs

Upon graduation, students receive a state-recognized diploma of higher education, are awarded the qualification of “Lawyer,” and are granted the special rank of “Lieutenant.” Graduates are then assigned to serve in units of the internal affairs bodies of the Republic.

The evaluation of physical performance is carried out in accordance with the standards for physical fitness established for internal affairs personnel, as approved by the Order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin - Tashkent

The Branch of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) named after Ivan Mikhailovich Gubkin in Tashkent was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, I.A. Admission to the Branch of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Tashkent is competitive and based on entrance exam results.

State-funded places are available only to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and are allocated strictly based on ranking by total exam scores.

The Russian language entrance test is mandatory for all programs.

Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

The Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (the University) was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Organization of the Activities of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent."

The main objective of the University is to train highly qualified specialists for the automotive, mechanical engineering, and electrical industries, as well as for the energy sector, industrial and civil design, and construction organizations, in accordance with the educational programs adopted by the Polytechnic University of Turin.

Admission Rules and Application Deadlines

Stage 3. Entrance Exam:

Consists of an online multiple-choice test. The test difficulty matches the high school curriculum.

  • The online test includes 40 questions and lasts 90 minutes, divided as follows:
  • Mathematics – 20 questions (46 minutes)
  • Physics – 10 questions (24 minutes)
  • Logic – 10 questions (20 minutes)
  • Each question has 5 possible answers, only one of which is correct.


Scoring:

  • +1 point for each correct answer
  • -0.25 points for each incorrect answer
  • 0 points for unanswered questions (no points deducted)


All test questions will be in English.


An IELTS certificate (minimum score of 5) must be submitted by August.

The certificate must be submitted by the deadline to maintain admission eligibility according to Stage 3.


If the IELTS certificate is submitted after the deadline, the applicant will be admitted only if there are vacant spots remaining.


The annual tuition fee for all undergraduate programs at TTPU is USD 4,950 (Payment is made in Uzbek sums at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan).

Westminster International University in Tashkent

The International Westminster University in Tashkent was established by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 16, 2002, with the aim of training highly qualified specialists with higher education in accordance with global educational standards.

The International Westminster University in Tashkent is committed to providing international standards of higher education in Uzbekistan, as well as facilitating opportunities for citizens of Uzbekistan and other countries to obtain internationally recognized bachelor's and master's degrees in the fields of Economics, Management, Information Technology, and Law.

Plekhanov Russian University of Economics

The State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Plekhanov Russian University of Economics" (SEI HPE "Plekhanov REU") traces its history back to 1907. In 2010, the academy was granted university status. A branch of the Russian university in Tashkent was opened in 1995.

Tashkent State University of Law

At present, this institution rightfully occupies one of the leading positions in the development of legal education and jurisprudence in the country.

The university comprises 3 law faculties and a department for master's degree programs. The duration of study is 4 years for a bachelor's degree and 2 years for a master's degree. 

The languages of instruction are Russian and Uzbek. Admission requires exams in history, native language and literature, and a foreign language. The average passing scores for fee-paying and state-funded places are 180.7 and 208.3, respectively.

Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers

The Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers (TIRE) is one of the oldest higher technical educational institutions in Uzbekistan specializing in the training of professionals for the railway industry.

Faculties of TIRE: Electromechanical, Economics, Construction, and Transport Organization and Logistics.

Tashkent Financial Institute

The Tashkent Financial Institute (Uzbek: Toshkent Moliya Instituti) was established in 1991 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on the Credit-Economics and Accounting-Economics faculties of the Tashkent Institute of National Economy.

The Tashkent Financial Institute (TFI) has 7 faculties: Financial Management, Accounting and Auditing, Credit and Economics, Project Financing, Financial and Economic Studies, Insurance, and Budget Accounting and State Savings.

The duration of study is 4 years (Bachelor’s degree) and 2 years (Master’s degree). The languages of instruction are Uzbek and Russian.

University of World Economy and Diplomacy

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy was established on September 23, 1992, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, I.A. Karimov. The university trains specialists in the fields of international diplomacy and economics, international law, intergovernmental and foreign economic relations, and global economic affairs.

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) has 4 faculties: International Relations, International Economic Relations, International Law, and Language Education.

The duration of study is 5 years for a bachelor’s degree and 2 years for a master’s degree. The languages of instruction are Uzbek and Russian. Entrance exams include Mathematics and Informatics, a Foreign Language, and the Native Language and Literature.

Tashkent State Economic University

Tashkent State Economic University (TSEU) is one of the largest economic universities in the Republic of Uzbekistan and in Central Asia.

TSUE includes 7 faculties and a master's program.
